Seems like everyone and their mothers have been extra obsessed with highlighters lately, but how could you not be when there’s so many pretty ones out there? I put together a list of all my favorite highlighting products that I think everyone should have in their life. From different shades, to different formulas, there’s something here for everyone:
This pearl highlighter comes in a nail polish type of bottle and will probably last you for the rest of your life. All you need is 4 dots on the top of each cheek bone and you’ll be glowing for the rest of the day. You can even mix a little bit with your foundation for an all over glow.
This product is a great dupe for the Benefit liquid highlighters. If we’re being completely honest here, it can be a LITTLE chunky and not as easy to blend, but it’s a lot cheaper than the highlighters by Benefit. It’s still a really great product and I’d recommend it if you’re not trying to spend a lot of money.
Another amazing highlighter from Benefit, but this one’s a little different. It’s more of a warm champagne color and comes in a stick form that’s great for on the go. It’s super soft and easy to blend, and would be flattering on any skin tone.
Glossier just launched their highlighters and I think I’ve mentioned them a million times, BUT these might just be my favorite highlighters out of all of them. They have an oil based core which some people find too sticky but I think it just melts into my skin and looks the most natural. There’s no glitter or patchiness, and they’re made with real crystal extracts..how cool?!
These powders are so silky and smooth, and are perfect to set cream highlighters or to just wear on their own. This powder comes in a few different shades but my favorite is Moonstone which is a pale gold that is SO PRETTY and flattering on all different skin. It is a little pricey but I’ve had mine for probably 2 years and it’s still going strong.
This highlighter is ideal for my pale girls that have trouble finding a warm highlight that looks natural on them. It’s a v light and golden powder that would be beautiful as an eyeshadow too!
I had to include this one because this is one the first highlighters I’ve ever tried and I truly abused it with my friends in high school. I love the texture of the MSF powders and this peachy bronze shade is amazing for summer. These powders are long wearing with amazing color pay off and will last you years! (I still have mine from way too long ago)
How to apply: For cream/liquid products, I use my fingers to really work the product into my skin and get the most natural finish as possible. For powders, I use a fan brush to lightly sweep the product across my cheeks, brow bone, and tip of my nose without it looking overdone.
